Review:
This book is fantastic. Though often slightly disjointed and ADD, the overall package of "Kitchen Confidential" was a pleasure to read. Anthony Bourdain provides a great narrative describing how he fell in love with cooking, how the restaurant business "really" works, and the lovable, but twisted family that keeps it all running. I blew through this book because it was a great mixture of personal stories with discussions of 'the way things work' behind the scenes. I would not recommend reading this on a plane, as I did, because airplane food will then become particularly disappointing. I will be making a reservation at a nice restaurant in the very near future! Next up will be to read some of Bourdain's other books as well.
