Review:

Honestly, I just enjoyed this book so much because it’s fun!  From start to finish, it’s definitely right up my alley.  Mercy Thompson is spunky, doesn’t put up with bullshit and loyal to a fault.  I like that the paranormal world is somewhat set in reality without coming off as stereotypical.    The relationships in the story are realistic as well.  Although the romantic interests may be slightly accelerated, the hesitations and complicated relationships are realistic.

The other thing I enjoyed was that each of the characters had a distinct personality.  Zee, for example, is a great guy who has a hidden past I hope we get to know more about down the line.  Stefan on the other hand, seems straight-forward yet has his own complex histories as well.  I am looking forward to continuing the series!

Warning: Contains repeated violence.

Rating: 5 stars!
