Review:
This was the second time I’d read this book and it was exactly what I needed at the time. I was looking for something light and that would help when life was a bit stressful. Honestly the book is written more as a biography as opposed to a specifically about comedy or intended to be humorous. Amy is funny and she has a fantastic view on life that I really enjoy, but I wanted to be clear so folks know what they’re getting into.
The book made me like her more as a person, respect her friendship with Tina Fey and wish I knew more people like her. The biggest thing that I took away from the book is appreciation and a reminder not to take day to day chaos too seriously. She also brings in some of her coworkers to “guest write” and they add lovely variety throughout.
Rating: 4 stars!
