Review:

This series started out so strong and I couldn’t stop talking about it and recommended it to everyone, but had a bit of a flat ending. I was hopeful the sequel would bring redemption to my enthusiasm, but it didn’t quite get there for me.  Don’t get me wrong – I love the Warcross world building, I just wish we saw more of the immersive experience. We didn’t get much of that in this book as it was more focused on the out-of-game drama.

The other thing that was difficult was the pacing of the story.  We had a few slow moments you had to want to know what was going to happen to push through them.  The twists kept me through the story and ended up with a “ok” collective feeling, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it to everyone.

Warning: Contains some sexual content and violence.

Rating: 3 stars!

Who should read it? Those who want to find out where Warcross leaves you, but I was a little disappointed where things landed.
